Harmful Sexual Behaviour	This chapter was refreshed in June 2025.
Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews	In June 2025, the Local Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews Regional Toolkit & Practice Guidance for the West Midlands was updated.
Online Safety	In June 2025, information was added into Section 1, Definition in relation to sexually coerced extortion.
Children Missing from Education and Children in Education other than in Registered Schools	This chapter was updated in June 2025 to bring it into line with Children Missing Education (August 2024). The changes are technical updates only to bring the guidance in line with the Working together to improve attendance statutory guidance and the School Attendance (Pupil Registration) (England) Regulations 2024. It also highlights pending legislation: The Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill and brings to the attention of readers Ofsted and Care Quality Commission (CQC) Thematic Reviews of Children Not in School in Local Areas which will be undertaken in 2025.

Child Protection Conferences	In June 2025, in Section 8.1, Conference Chair, details have been added as to the exceptional circumstances when a conference chair may veto or override the decision of the conference. Professionals will be reminded by the Child Protection Chair of their right to escalate their concerns should they have any.
Recognising Abuse and Neglect	In June 2025, amendments were made to the definition of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in line with further revisions to Working Together to Safeguard Children.
Radicalisation, Terrorist and Extremist Ideology	In June 2025, a link was added to Section 4.2, The Prevent Duty to the National Prevent Referral Form.
Strategy meeting/discussion – Regional Guidance	In June 2025, this guidance was added to the manual.
